This exhibition is the gallery’s first exhibition at Reinbeckhallen. Bode Projects recently moved to the industrial premises and cultural hub of the Reinbeckhallen. Our location is historical: the Reinbeckhallen are part of a listed building complex that was built over a century ago. Initially, the industrial halls served as a production site for transformers and high-voltage, electricity systems, such as AEG and a transformer plant factory of the former DDR. Shortly following the turn of the 21st century, an art and cultural hub was envisioned by the collector and entrepreneur Sven Herrmann on site of the Reinbeck Halls. The Industriesalon, the industrial museum of the Elektropolis Berlin is situated on the premises, such as the studios of world-renowned artists, such as Bryan Adams, Olafur Eliasson, Alicja Kwade, and Jorinde Voigt. The Reinbeckhallen (Reinbeck Halls) are the visionary heart of the area and the largest former inner-city industrial area in Europe until today.
